Art House is a really special place. My son learned there — ballet and jazz — for seven years; not only did he become a good dancer, but he found such confidence in himself. He decided he wanted to dance as part of his career: he’s now at Guildford School of Acting.

My daughter has been taught by Carolyn at Art House Theatre and Dance for over 4 years. Carolyn is enthusiastic, supportive and has a true love of dance which really shines through in her teaching. Thanks to Carolyn, my daughter has grown enormously, in both ability and confidence.

Carolyn’s teaching of my sons over the last 8 years has been fantastic, progressing them from beginners to getting distinctions at Intermediate level for ballet and tap. Most importantly her lessons are great fun, and they look forwards to going each week. I thoroughly recommend Art House Theatre and Dance.

A few years ago, I started Adult Ballet classes and found such joy in it, that I now regret not having done ballet all my life! I now also do Adult Tap. Both classes are a great brain workout as well as a physical one, but Carolyn creates an atmosphere that is friendly and relaxed, not about worrying about getting everything right but enjoying what your body can do. Absolutely life-changing. Highly recommended.

The Arthouse has been a major part of my daughters’ childhoods from aged 3 to 18. It is a fun, inclusive and safe place to be, where kids can learn to dance and perform, socialise with friends and build their self-confidence. Carolyn is a super dance teacher and a great support with lots of experience that the kids can benefit from. My daughters love it.
